A little bit about how I work.

Many people come to therapy feeling like they’ve spent years adapting to what others needed from them, becoming dependable, composed, or “easy to understand” on the outside, while feeling something more complicated underneath that hasn’t had space to be fully expressed.

I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating burnout, perfectionism, cultural and family expectations, identity development, and the emotional weight of growing up in systems that didn’t always make room for their inner experience. Often, the strategies that once helped someone feel stable or accepted can, over time, start to feel like pressure, disconnection, or exhaustion.

In our work together, we slow things down enough to understand what’s been shaping your emotional world and how those patterns continue to show up today in relationships, in self-talk, and in moments of stress or conflict. Therapy, for me, is a space where insight and change can exist side by side, not as separate goals but as part of the same process.

My approach is relational and trauma-informed, with grounding in psychodynamic and attachment-based thinking. I also draw from mindfulness and emotion-focused work when it supports clients in building more awareness and flexibility in how they respond to themselves and others.

A priority in my work is creating a space where you don’t have to perform or over-explain your experience. Before we look deeply into patterns or history, we focus on building steadiness, trust, and a sense of internal safety that allows for deeper exploration at a pace that feels manageable.

I hold a strong respect for the complexity of identity, especially for those navigating multiple cultural contexts, family expectations, or roles that can sometimes feel at odds with each other. I don’t see healing as becoming a different person, but as developing a clearer and more compassionate relationship with who you already are.

If this feels aligned, I welcome you to begin this work together.
